Our fishing section holds regular competitions for club members.
Saturday Fishing Contest. 2026/2027 Season Competitions
Ticket Sales: | 5-7pm at Club |
Weigh In: | 3-4pm (Sharp) at Club (Saturday) All fish to be Gilled & Gutted |
Area: | Thames to Cape Colville |
Entry Fees: | $10 Adults / $2 Juniors (17 years & under). FS Subs: $5 per season |
Jackpot: | $1 from entry will go into jackpot |
DATES: | 3rd Oct/ 7th Nov / 5th Dec / 23rd Jan / 13th Feb / 6th Mar / 3rd Apr / 1st May |

| 35cm for All Snapper, John Dory & Kahawai 30cm Gurnard & Trevally 75cm Kingfish |
| Maximum of "5 Snapper" & "2 of each other Species" per entrant. |
| "2 of each" for Juniors. |
| NO Longlines, Nets or KonTiki's. UNDERSIZE FISH (whole boats catch DISQUALIFIED) |
Prize Giving: | 5.15PM Saturday. Lucky Draws, Jackpot & fishing section membership. |
| Snapper: $70, $50, $30, $20, $15. Gurnard, John Dory, Kahawai & Trevally: $25, $20 |
| Kingfish: $25, $20 |
| Mystery Weight: Donated by Mike Deane |
| Average Weight: Donated by Denis Wing & Mary McFarlane |
| Junior Fishers: Weigh 2 of each species: $20, $10 1st & 2nd all species |
| T.W.C.F.S. Member Top Rod Points (Please note you must be a current financial member of the T.W.C as well as the Fishing Section to gain Rod or Boat points). |

| In the event of a draw, prizes & or points will go to the first fish weighed in. |
